[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] A man in his 50s who threw a 4-month-old puppy out of a window, causing its death, has been arrested by the police.
The Chuncheon Police Department in Gangwon announced on the 7th that they have booked Mr. A (53) without detention on charges of violating the Animal Protection Act.
Mr. A is accused of throwing two 4-month-old puppies out of the window of his second-floor residence in Okcheon-dong, Chuncheon City, on the 1st.
One of the puppies died, while the other was seriously injured and was transferred to the Chuncheon Animal Protection Center for treatment.
The police, who responded to a neighbor's report, apprehended Mr. A at the scene.
During the prosecution investigation, Mr. A reportedly stated that he committed the act because the puppies were not properly house-trained.
