60s Male Trapped Under Tractor Safely Rescued by Rescue Team

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] A man in his 60s who was trapped under an overturned tractor in Gwangju was safely rescued by the 119 rescue team.

According to the Gwangsan Fire Station in Gwangju on the 7th, at around 3:14 PM the previous day, Mr. A (61), who was working in a field using a tractor in Dujeong-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, was trapped under the tractor in an accident.

When the Gwangsan Fire Station rescue team (led by Rescue Team Leader Choi Baekjin and 6 others) arrived at the scene after receiving the report, Mr. A's leg was trapped under the tractor handle, making it impossible for him to move.

The rescue team balanced both sides of the tractor using an A-frame and other equipment, then safely rescued Mr. A.

Mr. A was immediately transported to a nearby hospital and is reported to be in stable condition without life-threatening injuries.

Rescue Team Leader Choi Baekjin said, "Mr. A was plowing the field with the tractor when the ground gave way, causing the tractor to tip over sideways. As the busy farming season increases the use of agricultural machinery, we ask everyone to be especially careful to prevent safety accidents."
