[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Jeju Shilla Hotel announced on the 7th that it will extend the sales period of its related honeymoon package products due to a surge in honeymooners visiting Jeju Island amid the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Jeju Shilla Hotel's aggregation of 'Suite Honeymoon' package reservations in April showed that sales more than doubled compared to March.
Accordingly, Jeju Shilla Hotel decided to extend the 'Suite Honeymoon' package, originally scheduled to end in April, by two months until June to meet the demand of newlyweds. Jeju Shilla Hotel launched the honeymoon package for the first time in about seven years since 2013 last March.
Reflecting the 'Newtro' concept, Jeju Shilla Hotel decorated the banquet hall to resemble the wedding hall atmosphere of the 1980s, when couples used to go on honeymoon trips to Jeju Island. It was prepared so that newlyweds can leave memories similar to their parents' wedding photos seen in family albums.
The premium 'Suite Honeymoon' package guests are provided with △a sea view deluxe room, △room service welcome cake & house wine, △Lounge S for two, △Petit Cabana for two hours, and △breakfast or lunch for two. For stays of two nights or more, △Suite Sumbi photo service plus △a wine party (for two) is provided once during the stay, and for stays of three nights or more, △Glamping Village dinner is added to complete a more romantic honeymoon.
Additionally, Jeju Shilla Hotel helps newlyweds using the Suite Honeymoon package enjoy a relaxing hotel vacation by offering 'private check-in' at the 'Olleh' bar from 12 PM to 4 PM and providing a late check-out service at 2 PM.
A representative of Jeju Shilla Hotel said, "Jeju Island is gaining attention again as a place where newlyweds who have held the great event of marriage make a strong start," adding, "We extended the honeymoon package operation period so that newlyweds, who must have had many concerns due to COVID-19, can rest comfortably in Jeju and return with happy memories."
