Daewoo Winia Implements Unpaid Leave and 20% Salary Reduction for Executives in Response to COVID-19

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] Daewoo Winia is implementing unpaid leave as a response measure to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) crisis.


According to Daewoo Winia on the 6th, Winia Dimchae and Winia Daewoo will accept applications for unpaid leave from the 6th to the 8th.


For those who apply, unpaid leave will be taken for one week each month from April to June, and 80% of the salary will be paid during the leave period.


Executives have agreed to return 20% of their salaries. A company official explained, "This is a proactive measure taken due to the contraction of the home appliance market caused by COVID-19."
