Confirmed COVID-19 Case in 60s Who Contacted Quarantine Violator

Songpa-gu, Seoul announced on the 6th that a 66-year-old woman residing in Pungnap-dong was registered as the 37th confirmed case in the district. This woman was a contact of the 24th and 45th confirmed cases in Gangnam-gu, and she was tested at the Songpa-gu Public Health Center on the 4th and received a positive result on the 5th.

The 45th confirmed case in Gangnam-gu, who came into contact with this woman, is a patient who violated self-quarantine rules and left without permission, leading the district office to report him to the police.

The 45th patient in Gangnam-gu was classified as a contact of an existing confirmed case and received a self-quarantine notice on the 1st, but went to the office the next day before returning home. He was confirmed positive around 10 p.m. on the 2nd.

Meanwhile, confirmed cases have occurred in Gwanak-gu, Gangdong-gu, Seongdong-gu, and Jungnang-gu, increasing the total number of confirmed cases in Seoul to at least 566.
