Hongcheon (Yangyang, Seoul) Rest Area Arbor Day Event 'Distributing Mugunghwa Flowers'

The Hongcheon (Yangyang, Seoul) Rest Area under the Gangwon Headquarters (Chuncheon Branch) of Korea Expressway Corporation held an event called "Sharing Mugunghwa Flowers" on April 5th in celebration of Arbor Day (photo).

The rest area managers of Hongcheon (Seoul) and Hongcheon (Yangyang), who selected the Mugunghwa flower for the Arbor Day event, stated that despite the difficult situation for all citizens due to the national disaster (COVID-19) and the economic downturn in South Korea, they chose the "Mugunghwa flower" to symbolize unity and overcoming this crisis together.

Additionally, Hongcheon County supported the Mugunghwa flowers and is famous as a sacred place for Mugunghwa. Hongcheon County plans to hold the 30th National Flower Mugunghwa Festival this year and operates the Mugunghwa Arboretum year-round as the original home of the Mugunghwa flower.

Customers who visited the Hongcheon (both directions) Rest Area that day and received Mugunghwa flowers were delighted by the unexpected gift.
