BAT Korea Launches 'Dunhill Fine Cut Double Capsule' Lineup


[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] BAT Korea announced on the 6th that it has launched a double capsule product that applies two capsules, allowing consumers to enjoy up to four different flavors at once.


The new products, ‘Dunhill Fine Cut Mellow Crush’ and ‘Dunhill Fine Cut Tropical Crush,’ will be sold nationwide at general tobacco retail stores from today, marking a first in Korea. The two variants include ‘Tropical Crush,’ which adds a refreshing twist to the menthol capsule, and ‘Mellow Crush,’ which maximizes sweetness. The tar and nicotine contents are 1.5 mg and 0.15 mg, respectively.


The new Fine Cut double capsule lineup from Dunhill Fine Cut, a leading brand of low-tar superslim cigarettes, features two capsules in a single superslim cigarette. This allows adult smokers to enjoy Dunhill Fine Cut’s signature smooth and rich flavor, while combining two capsules to experience up to four different flavors and a clean finish according to their personal preferences and tastes.


The package design is modern and stylish, fitting the innovative image of the double capsule product. The blue background symbolizes menthol, with green and yellow paint splashes expressing the flavors spreading in the mouth. Additionally, the front center features the Dunhill brand’s founding year, ‘EST·1907,’ highlighting its long history, and includes images of the two capsules to emphasize the double capsule product’s variety of flavors.


Kim Eui-sung, President of BAT Korea, said, “We plan to provide a higher level of satisfaction through this innovative new product, which equips Dunhill Fine Cut, already positively received, with two capsules.” He added, “By launching the superslim double capsule lineup for the first time in general tobacco retail stores in Korea, targeting adult smokers who are sensitive to taste and trends, we will lead market responses.”


To commemorate the launch, the new products will be sold at convenience stores and tobacco retail stores nationwide from the 6th at an introductory limited quantity price of 4,000 KRW.
