'COVID-19 Dedicated Hospital' Nurse at Masan Medical Center Confirmed Positive

[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] A nurse at Masan Medical Center, designated as a dedicated hospital for managing the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), has tested positive.

On the 5th, Gyeongnam Province announced that a female nurse (39, Changwon) working at Masan Medical Center tested positive for COVID-19. The province is investigating the infection route, including whether she was infected by an inpatient.

This is the first time that medical staff at Masan Medical Center, operated as an infectious disease dedicated hospital, have tested positive.

Currently, 27 confirmed patients are hospitalized and receiving treatment at Masan Medical Center.
