Yongsan-gu Reports 16th COVID-19 Case (Woman in Her 20s from Hannam-dong)

Symptoms (fatigue) observed from March 28... Sample collected at Gu Screening Clinic on April 3, confirmed positive on April 4

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Yongsan-gu (District Mayor Seongjang Hyun) has reported its 16th confirmed case of COVID-19.

The confirmed case is a woman in her 20s residing in Hannam-dong who began experiencing symptoms such as fatigue from March 28. She was tested for COVID-19 at the district screening clinic on the 3rd and received a positive diagnosis at 8 a.m. on the 4th. She is hospitalized at the Taereung Living Treatment Center.

The route of infection is currently under investigation.

The district has completed disinfection of the confirmed patient’s residence and visited businesses, and will identify contacts and guide them to self-quarantine.

Seongjang Hyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, stated, “We ask all residents to avoid unnecessary outings and strictly follow personal hygiene rules such as hand washing.”

As of the 4th, Yongsan-gu has 16 confirmed cases (12 under treatment, 4 recovered) and 771 people in self-quarantine (144 domestic, 627 imported cases).
