As of 5 p.m. on the same day, according to the announcements from autonomous districts, at least 11 new positive cases were confirmed. Accordingly, the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Seoul is estimated to be at least 544.
Among them was a case of a person who tested positive after being in self-quarantine for more than three weeks and undergoing a test before release from quarantine. According to Seongbuk-gu on the 4th, a 31-year-old man living in Donam-dong was tested at the Seongbuk-gu Public Health Center on the 3rd and confirmed positive on the 4th, after which he was transferred to a Seoul city life treatment center. This man, patient number 16 in Seongbuk-gu, had been in self-quarantine since last month 11th when his 33-year-old older brother (patient number 7 in Seongbuk-gu), who had traveled to Germany and France, was confirmed positive. Their mother, a 50-year-old woman (patient number 12 in Seongbuk-gu), also developed symptoms during self-quarantine and was retested and confirmed positive on the 19th of last month.
Earlier, Dongdaemun-gu announced that a 34-year-old woman living in Dapsimni 1-dong and a 53-year-old man living in Hwikyung 2-dong were confirmed as the 29th and 30th cases in the district. The 29th confirmed case is the mother of a 9-month-old baby who was previously confirmed as the 28th case. She returned from the United States on the 1st and has been hospitalized with the baby since the 3rd, showing no symptoms.
The 30th confirmed case in Dongdaemun-gu had been in self-quarantine since the 23rd of last month after contact with a confirmed colleague living in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do. However, he tested positive just before the end of his quarantine period.
In addition, a man in his 20s living in Ujangsan-dong, Gangseo-gu (patient number 23 in Gangseo-gu), a 36-year-old woman living in Seorim-dong, Gwanak-gu (patient number 39 in Gwanak-gu), a 19-year-old man (patient number 16 in Seodaemun-gu) and a 25-year-old woman (patient number 17 in Seodaemun-gu) living in Changcheon-dong and Bukgajwa 2-dong, Seodaemun-gu, and a woman in her 20s living in Eungam-dong, Eunpyeong-gu (patient number 25 in Eunpyeong-gu) were confirmed positive after returning from the UK, and a man in his 30s living in Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu (patient number 19 in Mapo-gu) was confirmed positive after returning from the Philippines.
In Jungnang-gu, a 51-year-old woman living in Junghwa 1-dong was confirmed as the 15th case in the district. She is presumed to have been infected while working as a colleague of patient number 46 in Gangnam-gu. It was investigated that she visited Cheongdam Station and Junghwa Station on Seoul Subway Line 7, and Seonjeongneung Station on the Bundang Line on the 31st of last month and the 1st of this month.
In Gwanak-gu, additional confirmed cases among Manmin Central Church members were reported. Patient number 40 in Gwanak-gu, a 52-year-old woman living in Sillim-dong, is presumed to have been infected through contact with a previously confirmed pastor of the church.
