[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] As additional COVID-19 infections have occurred among Yuehua Entertainment staff, an alert has been issued to the 'The Show' performers and related personnel who attended with the infected staff.
On the 3rd, Yuehua released a statement saying, "One of our staff members has tested positive for COVID-19, and we are sharing this related news."
The statement further explained, "The staff member had the closest work contact with a previously confirmed staff member, having dined together on the 27th of last month, and received the final positive test result on the 3rd."
The staff member who tested positive is currently receiving treatment at a hospital, and their condition will be monitored.
Yuehua Entertainment expressed, "We sincerely apologize once again to fans and related parties for causing concern amid worries about the spread of COVID-19," and stated that they will actively comply with government and related agencies' guidelines.
The staff member reportedly participated in the recording of SBS MTV's 'The Show' last month. Accordingly, quarantine measures are being implemented based on their movement. It is also known that all 'The Show' performers and related personnel are undergoing COVID-19 testing.
Earlier, on the same day, Yuehua announced that one of their staff members tested positive for COVID-19 on the 2nd. Subsequently, the affiliated group Everglow also underwent testing and all members were confirmed negative.
