[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] Disney has postponed the release date of the movie "Eternals," starring Ma Dong-seok, amid a series of delays in movie releases due to the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
On the 3rd (local time), Walt Disney Company announced changes to the release dates of new works produced by its subsidiaries, including Marvel, Pixar, and Fox. This was attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Disney, "Black Widow," originally scheduled for release in April, has been postponed to November 6. The movie "Eternals," starring Angelina Jolie, Ma Dong-seok, and Richard Madden, has been rescheduled to February 12, 2021.
Additionally, "Doctor Strange 2" will be released on November 5, 2021. Furthermore, "Thor: Love and Thunder" is set for February 18, 2022, and "Mulan," which was originally scheduled for release in March, will now be released on July 24. "Indiana Jones 5" has also been postponed to August 29, 2022.
In response, Disney explained, "Due to the global health crisis, the release dates of Disney movies are expected to continue to shift."
