Hancom and Naver Sign Business Agreement, Utilize Dasan Call 120 Network ... Jung Soon-gyun "Helps Employees with Excessive Workload"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jung Soon-gyun) signed a business agreement with private specialized companies such as Hancom and Naver Business Platform on the 30th of last month to operate an AI call center for COVID-19 self-quarantined individuals.
Gangnam-gu, which has many international students and overseas residents, will receive AI-based solutions and platforms free of charge and apply them from the 3rd to COVID-19 related tasks such as ▲guidance for visitors to health centers ▲confirmation of self-quarantined individuals ▲post-management after self-quarantine release.
Gangnam-gu uses the Seoul Dasan Call 120 network to make calls to the target individuals at a set time every morning using AI (Artificial Intelligence) to check their health status, automatically analyze the consultation results, and deliver them to the dedicated department.
Since the 30th of last month, Gangnam-gu has been transporting overseas arrivals from Incheon International Airport to Gangnam-gu Health Center by airport limousine bus, conducting COVID-19 tests, and then sending them home using ambulances or private vehicles to enter a 2-week self-quarantine.
Jung Soon-gyun, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, stated, “Gangnam-gu is the area with the highest floating population in Korea, and the number of overseas arrivals is expected to increase up to 7,000. In the situation where the workload for all employees has become overwhelming after the COVID-19 crisis, we expect the AI call center to be a great help. We plan to analyze the operation results in the future and apply them to other projects such as checking on the elderly living alone.”
