Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, delivering messages of comfort and hope through music to exhausted residents... Starting with Busker No.1 singer 'Chaeyeon', online live busking performances provided every Friday until August
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seon-gap) will hold the 'Hope Message, Online Live Busking' starting from the 6th to support residents exhausted by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The Hope Message, Online Live Busking is designed to provide busking performance videos online to residents who are practicing a temporary pause to overcome COVID-19, allowing them to enjoy busking performances from home.
The first busker participating in this online busking is singer Chaeyeon, who previously donated 1,000 sterilizing cleansers to residents in February and is now joining this online live busking as well.
Singer Chaeyeon said, "I am grateful for the opportunity to participate as the first busker in this meaningful performance that delivers a message of hope to residents during these difficult times caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic."
Starting with singer Chaeyeon's performance on the 6th, the district plans to provide new busking performance videos every Friday until August through online platforms such as the district website, Naver TV, and YouTube.
Mayor Kim Seon-gap stated, "I hope this online live busking will bring warm comfort and messages of hope to residents tired from the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic," and added, "We will continue to do our best to wisely overcome COVID-19 through various support measures."
Meanwhile, during the temporary pause, the district is offering cultural and sports lecture programs through the district website and SNS online platforms so families can enjoy quality time at home, and in March, it held a photo and video contest themed 'Life with Family.'
Additionally, the district is fully closing multi-use facilities such as cultural and sports centers and purchasing additional e-books for public libraries to support residents in practicing a temporary pause in various ways.
