[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Min Jun-young] Comedian Park Myung-soo is drawing attention by expressing his candid opinions on the abolition of comments on entertainment articles and Kim Jae-joong's lying incident.
On the 3rd, Jeon Min-gi, a big data expert and team leader, appeared as a guest on the 'Search N Chart' segment of KBS CoolFM's 'Park Myung-soo's Radio Show.'
That day, when asked, "Have you ever lied to your wife?" Park Myung-soo laughed and said, "I liked her unilaterally, so I never had a chance to lie."
He also caught attention by mentioning Kim Jae-joong's false claim of testing positive for COVID-19, saying, "One celebrity lied in my news, and whatever happened, I think it was wrong."
The keyword that appeared next after 'lying' during the broadcast was 'comments.' Park Myung-soo said about domestic portal sites abolishing comments on entertainment articles one after another, "If they had done it earlier, they might have saved a few people." He especially expressed regret, saying, "It's too late. It would have been better if the policy had been a little ahead. I wonder why they couldn't prevent it."
Park Myung-soo did not hide his feelings, saying, "Certainly nowadays, (without comments) I read articles more comfortably. Since comments are comments, when I see malicious comments, my mood drops right from the first word. It's not good at all."
In response, Team Leader Jeon Min-gi diagnosed, "Comments have disappeared from entertainment articles, but they still remain on YouTube," adding, "About 1 to 5% of people leave comments, but public opinion is formed as if it represents everyone's opinion, which is problematic."
Park Myung-soo emphasized, "We should not think of some opinions as the whole opinion," and added, "Young people should no longer be scapegoats. I hope it will be eradicated completely."
