Goryeong County also decided that public officials will purchase 'Goryeong Love Gift Certificates' with part of their salaries. According to rank, executives at grade 5 or higher will purchase gift certificates worth 1.5 million won, grade 6 will purchase 1 million won, grade 7 will purchase 500,000 won, grade 8 will purchase 400,000 won, and grade 9 or lower will purchase 300,000 won, totaling about 500 million won.
Gwak Yong-hwan, the mayor of Goryeong County, said, "I hope public officials will take the lead in creating a consumption promotion atmosphere to recover the local economy and overcome the crisis together."
