[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 4th that it will pilot the walking through clinic system, originally developed and operated by Busan Nam-gu Public Health Center, at Masan Public Health Center in the province.
This testing system was commissioned from a separate manufacturer and is designed as a space similar to a public phone booth. When the specimen collection subject enters the booth, the tester inserts only their gloved hand into the booth from outside to collect the patient's specimen.
Since the spaces for the test subject and tester are separated with minimal contact, it is relatively safe from infection risk. Additionally, testers can quickly collect specimens without wearing uncomfortable personal protective equipment.
At Masan Public Health Center, this system has been piloted since the 30th of last month with a team of three, conducting about 10 tests. If convenience and speed are ensured, the pilot operation will be expanded in the future.
