Democratic Party Candidate Seodongyong Begins Official Campaign with Visit to National Cemetery

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Seo Dong-yong, the Democratic Party candidate for Suncheon, Gwangyang, Gokseong, and Gurye (District 2), announced on the 2nd that he officially began his election campaign by visiting the National Cemetery with his election campaign committee members to pay respects.

Only a minimal number of people attended the memorial service to participate in the social distancing campaign.

Candidate Seo Dong-yong stated, “Now, we are facing the final two weeks of the decisive battle. Let us take one more step forward for the 'fairer and safer world' we dream of, the 'new changes in our lives,' and 'politics that become a weapon for the weak.' Let us unite and cooperate as we have so far, approaching the citizens of the cities and counties with a humbler attitude and a more open heart.”

In a video message to the citizens, Candidate Seo said, “Citizens of Suncheon, Gwangyang, Gokseong, and Gurye! Please elect a capable worker who will work well for the region with the heart of an owner. I, Seo Dong-yong, will become a powerful worker and resolve the difficult local issues that have not been solved so far,” expressing his determination to address long-standing regional issues.

He continued, “Together with the Moon Jae-in administration, the Democratic Party, and myself, we will overcome COVID-19, revive the struggling economy, and create a vibrant heart of the southern region, Suncheon, Gwangyang, Gokseong, and Gurye,” appealing for support for the Moon Jae-in administration and the Democratic Party.

After paying respects at the National Cemetery and greeting in the morning, Candidate Seo plans to start campaigning in front of Gurye County Office in the morning, followed by rallies in Gwangyang-eup and Suncheon Haeryong.
