Candidate Jeong In-hwa Announces '9 Major Pledges for Gokseong and Gurye Development'

Gokseong Welcomes Youth Back, Healing Tourism in Clean Gurye

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Independent candidate Jeong In-hwa (Suncheon·Gwangyang·Gokseong·Gurye (Eul)) announced nine major pledges by region on the 2nd for the development of Gokseong and Gurye in the 21st National Assembly election.

Candidate Jeong revealed nine major pledges in the fields of agriculture, tourism, environment, transportation, education, housing, culture, safety, and economy under the theme of "Gokseong where youth return" for the development of Gokseong.

Key points announced by candidate Jeong include ▲early completion of Donghwa Garden to create a premium tourism Gokseong that visitors return to, ▲creation of a Gokseong food specialty street, ▲securing professional personnel for the future education foundation to make Gokseong a place where youth and children return, and support for children and adolescent students' commuting to and from school by introducing a 100-won bus.

Next, for the development of Gurye, pledges in nine fields including agriculture, tourism, environment, transportation, education, housing, culture, safety, and public sectors were also announced under the theme of "Healing Tourism Clean Gurye."

Major points for Gurye's development include ▲creation of a ‘Water’ theme park in the hot spring district and establishment of a ‘Life Culture Special Zone’ around Baegunsan Mountain and Seomjingang River to establish four-season ecological and healing tourism conditions, ▲restoration of the status of Seomjingang River by reopening the ‘Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office’ as the ‘Seomjingang·Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office’ to make the Seomjingang River clean, and ▲early completion of the Jungsan multipurpose reservoir for the development of Gurye agriculture.

Candidate Jeong In-hwa said, “The ‘9 Major Pledges for the Development of Gokseong and Gurye’ are promises prepared by listening carefully to the valuable voices of the county residents over the past four years as a member of the National Assembly,” adding, “In the 21st National Assembly as well, I will do my best for regional development by reflecting the voices from the field given by the residents into policies and budgets.”
