According to the Cheongju Sangdang Police Station on the 2nd, on the afternoon of the 29th of last month, a girl identified as A, who attends a middle school in Cheongju, visited the local police substation in Sangdang-gu and reported that she had been assaulted by friends.
At the scene, there were 6 to 7 students, who are suspected of assaulting A by burning parts of her body with a cigarette lighter and hitting her.
According to the investigation, A was assaulted because she reportedly spoke unfavorably about the offending students.
A police official stated, "To prevent secondary damage to the victim, we cannot disclose detailed information. We plan to summon and investigate the offending students soon."
