Retired Professor Jeong Dong-geun of Samyuk University Donates 50 Million Won Scholarship Fund

Donation of Scholarship Fund to Department of Sports for All

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] Samyook University announced on the 2nd that Professor Jeong Dong-geun of the Department of Physical Education, who retired three years ago, donated 50 million won for his students.

Professor Jeong was appointed as a full-time lecturer at the affiliated Agricultural College of Samyook University in 1982. When the Department of Physical Education was established in 1997, he moved to the department as a professor and served for a total of 35 years until his retirement in February 2017.

Professor Jeong donated the scholarship fund to President Kim Il-mok of Samyook University, saying, "I hope the fund will be primarily used for students in financial difficulty and support them to continue their studies in a good environment."
