Galaxy Note20 Releasing in August Likely in Two Models

[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Galaxy Note20 is expected to be released in two models without an Ultra version.
On the 1st (local time), IT Twitter user Ice Universe said, "The Galaxy Note20 will be released in two versions, the same as last year's Galaxy Note10." Contrary to previous rumors that it would be released in three versions like the Galaxy S20, including an Ultra model, it is now known that it is more likely to be released in two versions.
On the same day, a presumed Galaxy Note20+ model appeared for the first time on the benchmark website Geekbench. This product, with the model number SM-N986U, is presumed to be the Galaxy Note20+, succeeding the Galaxy Note10+ (model number SM-N976U), and is equipped with the Snapdragon 865 chipset. The Galaxy S20 had Snapdragon instead of Exynos even in the domestic version, and there is a possibility that the Galaxy Note20 series to be released this year will also be equipped with the Snapdragon 865.
The Galaxy Note20+ spotted on Geekbench has 8GB of RAM and runs Android 10. Since all three Galaxy S20 models supported 12GB, it is highly likely to be an early prototype, and other specifications including RAM may change. The codename for the Galaxy Note20 is 'Canvas.' Since codenames reflect the characteristics of the product, it is expected that the Galaxy Note20 will feature a new function S Pen.
Looking at the mold of the Galaxy Note20 LED cover case revealed by German IT media WinFuture, the rear camera part has a rectangular induction design similar to the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The quad (4) cameras include a 108-megapixel lens, and the Space Zoom function may be equipped on the Galaxy Note20 Plus model. Unlike the Galaxy Note10, the volume and power buttons have been moved from the left to the right side, which also draws attention. The edge display, which has been maintained for years, is expected to have a reduced curvature like the Galaxy S20.
The Galaxy Note20 is expected to be released with specifications similar to the Galaxy S20. Earlier, Ice Universe said, "The Galaxy Note20 will share many parts with the Galaxy S20."
If the release event is not delayed due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), it is expected to be unveiled in early August and released at the end of August. IT media SlashGear explained, "If the schedule is the same as last year, the Galaxy Note20 will be released around the same time as the Galaxy Note10," adding, "Samsung Electronics may change the way or schedule of releasing smartphones due to COVID-19."
