[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] The Chicken Barbecue & Bulmakchang restaurant (Chimakjip), which shocked viewers with the worst hygiene conditions ever seen on 'Golmok Sikdang,' has stopped its business and started sanitation and hygiene management.

On the 1st, the SBS entertainment program 'Baek Jong-won's Golmok Sikdang' aired the second story of Gunpo Station Market.

Previously, the Chimakjip at Gunpo Station Market shocked everyone by cooking with a burnt frying pan that was not wiped clean in time after seasoning. Baek Jong-won, who went to taste the food, did not see this scene. MC Jung In-sun said, "The owner shouldn't eat this," and headed to the store, but by the time Jung In-sun arrived, Baek Jong-won had already started tasting.

Jung In-sun asked, "Have you already eaten?" and "Do you think knowledge is power? Or do you think ignorance is bliss?" while showing Baek Jong-won a video of the cooking process. After checking the dirty frying pan, Baek Jong-won stopped tasting.

Then Baek Jong-won inspected the kitchen's hygiene condition. He repeatedly said, "Oh, this is dirty."

Seeing the dirty frying pan found under the stove, he said, "Wow, this is serious. This doesn't come off. Isn't this the one you were using earlier?" and recoiled after smelling it. Baek Jong-won's inspection revealed that Chimakjip was using direct-fire cooking tools as direct-fire utensils.

As he looked around the store, he said, "I'm too scared to look," and "This is serious. The food can't possibly taste good. It's shocking."

He then instructed, "Stop business immediately. You shouldn't be operating. Start cleaning up first. This will cause accidents. It's fortunate that no accidents have happened so far," ordering a business suspension.

Hearing this, the owner couple said, "We gained a lot from this opportunity. We didn't know how to do it well," and started a thorough cleaning.

MC Kim Seong-joo pointed out, "They've been cleaning since morning," and said, "This is the worst hygiene condition in the 2 years and 2 months of 'Golmok Sikdang' broadcasting."

Baek Jong-won visited the store and said, "You two can't do it anyway. You need to hire a cleaning company. You have to do disinfection."

He also advised, "If you operate until 1 o'clock, you should clean for about an hour starting from 12 o'clock every day. You have to clean inside the hood as well."

Although Bulmakchangjip was taken over a year ago, it was known that the store was already 20 years old before the takeover. The 10-year-old microwave had peeling coating and corrosion inside, emitting a strong foul odor.

Jung In-sun and Kim Seong-joo, who helped with cleaning, explained, "The cleaning company said this is the worst ever. They said it's the hardest cleaning they've ever done. Once cleaning is finished, a disinfection company will come to disinfect and sanitize perfectly."
