Korea Electrical Safety Corporation "Recognized as an Excellent Institution in Integrated Management Information Disclosure Evaluation"

No Penalty Points for 3 Consecutive Years in Evaluations of 331 Public Institutions Nationwide

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea Electrical Safety Corporation was evaluated as an excellent institution for sincere disclosure in the management information integrated disclosure inspection and evaluation conducted on 331 public institutions nationwide.

On the 2nd, the Electrical Safety Corporation announced that it was recognized as an excellent institution for three consecutive years along with nine institutions including the Korea Housing Finance Corporation and the Korea Institute of Public Finance in the '2019 Public Institution Integrated Disclosure Inspection Results' announced by the Ministry of Economy and Finance on the 31st.

The integrated disclosure inspection of public institutions is a process to examine how transparently and sincerely each institution discloses management information through the Management Information Disclosure System (ALIO). The Ministry of Economy and Finance conducts inspections twice a year, in the first and second halves.

Among the 42 integrated disclosure items, 18 items related to institution operation and finance such as average employee salary, executive recruitment information, flexible work status, and income and expenditure are inspected. Penalty points are imposed for non-disclosure, false disclosure, or delayed disclosure.

The inspection results are also reflected in the public institution management evaluation. In addition, institutions with zero penalty points for three consecutive years are excluded from the integrated disclosure inspection target the following year.

President Cho Seongwan said, "Disclosure of management information is a good opportunity to broaden the public's understanding of public institutions," and added, "We will continue to strive to enhance the transparency of the institution and expand the public's right to know."
