[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] The 'resurrected golf emperor' Tiger Woods and the 'veteran warrior' Phil Mickelson (both from the United States) have virtually confirmed their 'second century showdown.'
US CNBC reported on the 1st (Korean time) that "the rematch between the two players is likely to be held in May," adding, "Two NFL stars, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning (both from the US), will join the event." Woods will team up with Manning, while Mickelson will pair with Brady. The event is co-hosted by AT&T's WarnerMedia and the PGA Tour. The match will be broadcast on Turner Sports' TNT channel or one of WarnerMedia's channels via a pay-per-view system.
As with their first match in November 2018, there will be no gallery, and only the minimum essential personnel will be allowed at the venue, ensuring compliance with COVID-19 prevention guidelines.
