[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 1st that it will accept applications for emergency disaster livelihood support funds and business stabilization funds from the 1st to the 17th.
Applications can be submitted to the 12 myeon administrative welfare centers located in the applicant's residence and business location.
Hwasun-eup accepts applications at four locations: the Residents' Autonomy Center, Hwasun Cultural Center, Hwasun-gun Comprehensive Cultural Center, and Hanium Culture and Sports Center.
Earlier, on the 26th of last month, the county announced through Governor Gu Chung-gon's statement that it would allocate 14.8 billion KRW of its own budget to provide emergency disaster support funds to vulnerable groups and small business owners.
The emergency disaster livelihood support fund targets households with an income below 100% of the median income, excluding those already receiving government support, and the emergency business stabilization fund targets small business owners with business locations in Hwasun.
Some industries, such as gambling-related businesses, are excluded from the business stabilization fund, and the emergency livelihood support fund and business stabilization fund cannot be received simultaneously.
The county plans to disburse the emergency livelihood support fund and business stabilization fund as quickly as possible.
Additionally, in relation to the government's announcement to provide 1 million KRW in emergency disaster support funds to households below 70% of the lower income bracket, the county is reviewing its own emergency livelihood support fund plan.
Initially, the county planned to invest 10.6 billion KRW to provide between 500,000 KRW and 1 million KRW per household to an estimated 10,620 households below 100% of the median income, excluding those already receiving government support.
However, a review has become inevitable due to the government's emergency disaster support fund payment plan.
A county official stated, "We plan to devise a method to maximize support for low-income vulnerable groups by comprehensively considering the county's livelihood support fund plan and the government's support plan," adding, "We will finalize the plan as soon as possible."
Meanwhile, the business stabilization fund supporting small business owners will be paid as originally planned at 1 million KRW per business, and the county expects about 4,200 small business owners, including micro-entrepreneurs, to receive support.
Detailed information can be found in the announcement posted on the county office website.
