[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Hanmi Pharmaceutical marked 'Compliance Day' on the 1st by delivering a message from the CEO and all employees pledging to adhere to the Fair Trade Compliance Program (Compliance Program, CP). The company has announced a CP compliance message every year on this day.
On this day, CEOs Woo Jong-su and Kwon Se-chang stated in their message, "The beginning of innovation is CP compliance," and added, "This year, when we declared 'A New Challenge Toward Becoming a Pharmaceutical Powerhouse,' all employees should unite to build a solid foundation for ethical management." They also emphasized regarding the recent COVID-19 situation, "It has become a milestone for us to realize the direction Hanmi's innovation should take as a pharmaceutical company that exists for the healthy lives of humanity."
Along with the CEO-level message declaration, all employees of the group companies participated in an online pledge to practice CP compliance. Through this pledge, all employees committed to transparent work performance, compliance with related laws and CP regulations, and participation in fostering an ethical management corporate culture. Since introducing CP in 2007, the company has launched an independently operated CP Management Committee to run the compliance program. CEO Woo Jong-su stated, "From management to all employees, we will continue our challenge toward becoming a pharmaceutical powerhouse based on a firm commitment to CP."
