At Junghwa 2-dong Urban Regeneration Support Center, urban regeneration activation support coordinators and residents produce and publish... Featuring Seoul Beautiful House Project introduction, urban regeneration Q&A, resident participation programs, and crossword puzzles
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) has published the inaugural issue of the Jung-hwa 2-dong urban regeneration newsletter, "Bodam, Boda."
"Bodam, Boda" means "we hope for a better life" and was named by the residents of Jung-hwa 2-dong last year.
"Bodam, Boda" is a newsletter jointly produced by the Jung-hwa 2-dong Urban Regeneration Support Center, urban regeneration activation support coordinators (Art Busking), and intern coordinators composed of residents. It contains news about the ongoing urban regeneration projects in Jung-hwa 2-dong.
The main contents of this issue include an introduction to the "Seoul Beautiful House Project," which supports repair costs for aging houses, a Q&A section addressing questions about urban regeneration, resident participation programs, and a variety of content such as crossword puzzles.
The area around 329 Jung-hwa 2-dong was selected as a "Seoul Urban Regeneration Activation Area" in April last year and will receive 10 billion KRW in project funds until 2024 to promote various regeneration projects such as community revitalization, alleyway commercial recovery, and residential environment improvement.
Jungnang-gu has secured approximately 60 billion KRW in project funds to improve residential environments, revitalize the economy, and restore resident communities, with eight areas currently implementing projects.
Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi of Jungnang-gu said, "This newsletter is not simply a medium to convey residents' opinions but a collaboratively created newsletter with direct resident participation, which will contribute to the successful urban regeneration projects in Jung-hwa 2-dong."
