Osang Jiel, Subsidiary Secures Additional Overseas Orders for COVID-19 Diagnostic Kits

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] Osang Healthcare, a subsidiary of Osang Jaiel, announced on the 1st that it has signed large-scale export contracts for COVID-19 diagnostic kits with Russia, Argentina, and other countries.


They signed a contract with Russia for up to 2.5 million doses, and the first shipment of 500,000 doses is scheduled to be shipped starting this weekend.


They also signed a contract with Argentina for up to 4 million doses, completed certification with the Argentine Food and Drug Administration, and are currently negotiating the shipping schedule.


Additionally, the first shipment of 50,000 doses to the United States was shipped last week, and through cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they signed a contract for 200,000 doses to Kuwait. They are also negotiating supply contracts and quantities with embassies in Egypt, India, and other countries.


Osang Healthcare explained that they have expanded their production system and capacity to ensure no issues in supplying diagnostic kits for future large-scale overseas orders.


An Osang Healthcare official stated, "We proceed with shipments after receiving the contract payment when exporting diagnostic kits."


Meanwhile, Osang Healthcare is a specialized company in medical devices for diagnosing various adult diseases and viral infections, currently registered on the K-OTC over-the-counter market, and is a World Class 300 Hidden Champion small and medium enterprise selected by the government. The company expects a positive signal for preparing to relist on KOSDAQ due to the special demand for COVID-19 diagnostic kits.
