The Nation's First Dedicated Insurance Product Guaranteeing Only Communication Fees
LTE Unlimited Plan 'Half-Price Event' Extended Until the End of June
[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] KB Kookmin Bank Liiv M announced on the 1st that it will provide the 'Telecommunication Expense Guarantee Insurance' free of charge to all customers who subscribe.
The 'Telecommunication Expense Guarantee Insurance,' jointly launched by KB Kookmin Bank and KB Life Insurance, is the first dedicated insurance product in Korea that exclusively covers telecommunication expenses. This product provides support of up to 1.2 million KRW for telecommunication expenses in the event of unexpected accidents or disasters.
Liiv M customers can easily subscribe via mobile regardless of their usage plan, and the insurance coverage takes effect from the day after the subscription application. If a disability of 50% or more due to an accident occurs during the insurance period, telecommunication expenses of 100,000 KRW per month can be supported for up to one year.
In addition, KB Kookmin Bank announced that it will continue the half-price event for the existing Liiv M LTE unlimited plan until the end of June. The LTE unlimited plan (Liiv M LTE 11GB+), normally priced at 44,000 KRW per month, is available at half price of 22,000 KRW per month. This plan provides unlimited data at 3Mbps speed after using 11GB per month, with an additional 2GB daily data allowance.
A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "Through the telecommunication expense guarantee insurance and the extension of the half-price event, more citizens will be able to benefit from reduced telecommunication costs," adding, "KB Kookmin Bank will continue to introduce more innovative financial and telecommunication convergence services."
