[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Singer and actress IU (real name Lee Ji-eun) released a hidden camera video to celebrate April Fools' Day on April 1st.
On March 31st, the YouTube channel 'IU TV' uploaded a video titled 'IU's Furious Test Drive.'
In the video, IU said, "Today, I am going to have a test drive. I bought a car. Finally, after 28 years, I got my driver's license before turning thirty. I invited 'IU TV' to this historic moment to show you me driving."
She added, "There is someone who helped me get my driver's license, and I plan to have the test drive with that person. It was a process where I got scolded a lot and my pride was hurt, but I practiced and learned hard," and went on the test drive with her father.
Throughout the video, IU showed the traits of a 'beginner driver.' Her bickering with her father brought laughter.
However, IU driving was actually a hidden camera prank released for April Fools' Day. Although it appeared that IU was driving, her father was actually driving, and IU acted as if she was driving using a fake steering wheel in the passenger seat. The footage was flipped left to right to make it look like IU was driving.
It is known that even a facial mole was filmed in reverse to thoroughly deceive viewers.
After revealing that it was a hidden camera prank, IU playfully asked her father, "How do you turn on the turn signal?" showing her mischievous side.
