Ace Bed, 'Brand Power of Korean Industry' Ranked No.1 for 21 Consecutive Years

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Ace Bed (CEO Ahn Seong-ho) announced on the 1st that it was selected as the No. 1 company in the '2020 Korea Industry Brand Power Index' hosted by the Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC). Ace Bed has maintained the No. 1 position in the bed category for 21 consecutive years since it was first selected in 2000.

The Korea Management Association Consulting's Korea Industry Brand Power Index (K-BPI), which quantifies the influence of each brand, is used as an important indicator to gauge brand power. In this survey, Ace Bed achieved top-level awareness scores compared to the average among the No. 1 brands participating in the K-BPI, and also recorded higher scores in loyalty and image compared to other brands.

Ace Bed operates the internationally accredited testing institution 'Bed Engineering Research Institute' and is striving to create the optimal sleep environment through technology development, research, and investment, including equipping its factory in Eumseong, Chungbuk with an advanced automated production system. The 'Hybrid Z Spring,' independently developed by Ace Bed after 16 years of research and development, has been recognized for its value by obtaining patents in 15 countries worldwide.

In addition to using eco-friendly materials to improve quality and protect consumers, Ace Bed directly produces key materials used inside mattresses. Ace Bed has also significantly expanded large stores called 'Ace Square' in major hub areas to increase consumer experience opportunities. They operate a factory tour program that allows customers to visit the factory anytime, 365 days a year, if desired. Recently, due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), they supported franchise owners nationwide with approximately 1.1 billion KRW in rent and labor costs for March alone to help overcome the difficulties faced on the ground. CEO Ahn Seong-ho is purchasing land and buildings in major nationwide hub areas and constructing new large stores or renewing existing aging Ace stores so that franchise owners, who find high rents in major commercial districts burdensome, can operate stores at rents lower than the surrounding market rates.
