Yangcheon-gu Reports 18th Confirmed Case (Sinjeong 7-dong, 38-Year-Old Male) ... Additional Case is Family Member of 14th (Guro-gu Call Center Employee) and 15th Confirmed Cases

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) has reported the 18th confirmed COVID-19 case.

The 18th confirmed case is a 38-year-old male residing in Sinjeong 7-dong, who tested positive on the evening of March 31 and is currently under self-quarantine.

The additional confirmed case is a family member of the 14th confirmed case (40 years old, female), an employee of a call center in Guro-gu. He had been under self-quarantine since March 11 and was finally confirmed positive in a test conducted on March 31 before the scheduled quarantine release on April 2.

The district office has requested a hospital bed for the confirmed patient and plans to transfer him immediately once a bed is assigned.

Kim Soo-young, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, stated, “To prevent the spread of COVID-19, please refrain from attending religious gatherings such as worship services and meetings with many participants, and strictly follow personal hygiene rules such as wearing masks in daily life and practicing proper cough etiquette.” He added, “We will notify the public as quickly as possible once the confirmed patient’s movement paths are identified.”
