[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The National Institute of Environmental Research announced on the 31st that the African Swine Fever (ASF) virus was detected in three wild boar carcasses found within the civilian control line (Min-tong-seon) in Bangmok-ri, Paju-si, Gyeonggi Province.


This brings the total confirmed ASF cases in wild boars to 470.


An official from the Institute of Environmental Research stated, "All of these carcasses were found by farmers near the foothills and around rice paddies," adding, "Residents are advised not to touch or approach wild boar carcasses if found and to report them immediately."


Meanwhile, in Paju, three new cases were added, bringing the total to 85.
