[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] On the 31st, An Jongsuk, Chairperson of the Seocho District Council, visited a local restaurant and supported small business owners by making a lunch payment using 'Zero Pay'.
'Zero Pay' is a simple payment system for small business owners introduced by the Seoul Metropolitan Government in March last year to reduce the burden of merchant fees by lowering payment fees and providing income deduction benefits.
Chairperson An Jongsuk was nominated by Shin Woncheol, Chairperson of the Seoul Metropolitan Council, and participated in the 'Zero Pay Challenge' campaign last year.
Chairperson An said, "Due to the impact of COVID-19, consumption has contracted, and many local small business owners are facing difficulties. I hope that the activation of Zero Pay, which has low fee burdens, will help overcome this crisis."
