Baek Guk-hwan, Vice Chairman of Sampyo Group
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daesub] Sampyo Group announced on the 31st that Bae Guk-hwan, former Vice Minister of Strategy and Finance, will be appointed as Vice Chairman.
Vice Chairman Bae was born in 1956 and graduated from Kyungbock High School and Sungkyunkwan University with a degree in Business Administration. He earned a master's degree in Public Administration from Seoul National University Graduate School of Public Administration and a master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Wisconsin Graduate School in the United States.
Vice Chairman Bae entered public service by passing the 22nd Administrative Examination. He served as Director of the Fiscal Strategy Office at the Ministry of Planning and Budget, Second Vice Minister of Strategy and Finance, Audit Commissioner of the Board of Audit and Inspection, Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs of Incheon Metropolitan City, and CEO and President of Hyundai Asan.
Vice Chairman Bae will officially begin his duties on the 1st of next month.
