[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Kim Jong-in, the General Election Committee Chairman of the United Future Party, emphasized the need for a regime change on the 31st, asking, "Has fairness really been achieved in this society?"

On the same day, at the office of Tae Young-ho (Tae Gumin), the candidate for Gangnam-gap, Seoul, Kim stated, "President Moon Jae-in said he would create a country he had never experienced before, and it truly has become such a country."

He said, "Whether the president kept the promises made to the people upon taking office or not has become the standard for voters to judge the (regime)," and added, "There was an incident last October involving going back and forth between the prosecution office and Gwanghwamun Square. Can you really think such an incident could happen in a fair society?" Referring to the Cho Kuk incident, he pointed out President Moon's past promise that "the process will be fair, and the outcome will be just."

Regarding the COVID-19 situation, Kim said, "(President Moon) was optimistic and laughed heartily on the day the confirmed cases sharply increased," adding, "There are so many unforgettable events in the minds of the people that the United Future Party will be able to take control of the National Assembly in the general election." He also said, "Looking back on the past three years, we cannot be certain what kind of dysfunction this government will cause in the next two years," and emphasized, "To prevent that, the opposition party must hold an absolute majority of seats."
