Employees are conducting disinfection work at the Yangsan City Museum, which is closed due to concerns over the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] On the 31st, the Yangsan City Museum in Gyeongnam announced that it will establish a museum maintenance plan and carry out extensive facility improvement work during the closure period.
The museum had previously strengthened disinfection around the area and canceled or postponed various ongoing events after closing on the 23rd of last month to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
However, as the COVID-19 situation prolonged, the museum decided to use the closure period to thoroughly prepare for visitors after reopening by organizing storage rooms, replacing CCTV, expanding display cases, and other tasks that are usually difficult to carry out.
A museum official said, "Although we are closed, we are working hard on disinfection and facility improvements to protect citizens' health and prevent the spread of COVID-19," adding, "We will welcome citizens with a brighter appearance as soon as possible."
