Telegram 'Eumranmul Bang' Former Admin Attempts Suicide... No Life-Threatening Injuries (Comprehensive)


[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon] A whistleblower A, who disclosed some details about the Telegram 'Nth Room' case to the media, recently attempted an extreme act after an interview with a broadcasting company, feeling despair about their personal safety. It has been reported that their life is not in danger.


According to the police and fire authorities on the 31st, a report was made to 112 at around 11:30 PM on the 30th that whistleblower A related to the 'Nth Room' case was attempting an extreme act.


The police tracked A’s location, found them where they were staying, and transported them to a hospital. It has been reported that their life is not in danger.


At the time of discovery, A was found to have ingested a large amount of an unknown drug.


Earlier, A posted a message in a Telegram chat room stating that they were emotionally upset after conducting an interview with a broadcasting company official regarding the Telegram room case. They then posted a photo implying an extreme act on an online community.


They also left a message expressing resentment, saying they had heard insulting remarks such as "Do you think you are something?", "Have you ever had a girlfriend?", and "Do you think this is how you show remorse?"


A was arrested by the police in October of the same year after opening a room sharing obscene materials on Telegram in March last year.
