Winia SLS Changes Company Name to 'Winia Aid' for Business Diversification

[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] WINIA SLS announced on the 30th at the regular shareholders' meeting held at WINIA Tower in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, that it has changed its company name to 'WINIA AID.'

The company explained that the name change signifies WINIA SLS, a comprehensive service company, expanding its business areas into new fields such as rental, home care services, health appliance manufacturing, telecommunications, global distribution, and advanced AI (artificial intelligence) businesses.

Baek Seongsik, CEO of WINIA AID, stated, "This name change is the first step to realizing WINIA AID's corporate value of putting customers first in line with changing trends. Based on reliable product sales, customer satisfaction services, and efficient logistics operation know-how, we will strive to become a company that always provides satisfaction and inspiration to our customers."

Meanwhile, WINIA AID was formed by the merger of WINIA Dimchae Service (formerly Daeyu WINIA Service) and WINIA Daewoo Service (formerly Daewoo Electronics Service), and changed its name to WINIA SLS in July 2019.

Currently, through over 200 exclusive stores nationwide, WINIA Dimchae and WINIA Daewoo home appliances are sold, and about 100 WINIA 24 Clean Shops are operated through the unmanned laundromat franchise business. Additionally, the company has more than 20 logistics centers and about 100 service centers nationwide.
