Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry Joins COVID-19 Overcoming Effort by Purchasing 'Nubijeon'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] The Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Gyeongnam announced on the 31st that it will purchase 150 million won worth of Changwon Love Gift Certificates 'Nubijeon' and distribute them to member companies to actively participate in overcoming the COVID-19 crisis and revitalizing the local economy.

Heo Seong-mu, mayor of Changwon, expressed his gratitude, saying, "If the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its members take the lead in purchasing Nubijeon and many citizens use it, it will be a great help to local small business owners who are experiencing management difficulties."

Nubijeon is a local currency that can only be circulated in Changwon City and can be used like cash at registered affiliated stores such as traditional markets, neighborhood supermarkets, restaurants, convenience stores, and gas stations. For usage from this month until June, a 60% income deduction is available for four months' worth of use.
