[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] A public petition to the Blue House has been posted claiming that Kang Mo, a social service worker who assisted Cho Ju-bin (25, in custody), the suspect in the so-called 'Nth Room' case, stalked his high school homeroom teacher and even attempted to kill the teacher's daughter. It has been revealed that Kang showed a dual nature in the past, including volunteering for disabled people.

According to a Channel A report on the 30th, social service worker Kang Mo is suspected of planning to kill the daughter of his high school homeroom teacher.

The report states that Kang stalked his homeroom teacher starting from his first year of high school in 2013, received juvenile protection measures, and eventually dropped out of school.

Afterwards, Kang reportedly showed a dual nature by volunteering to bathe disabled people. At that time, Kang posted reviews saying, "I want to help someone" and "I want to gain the joy of living together."

In particular, Kang's behavior resembles that of Cho Ju-bin, who filmed and distributed sexually exploitative videos while also volunteering at various facilities, which has fueled ongoing controversy.

A representative of the volunteer organization told Channel A in an interview, "(Kang) was not very talkative, so I hardly had any personal conversations with him."

However, it was revealed that Kang threatened the teacher even while volunteering.

Especially after failing to transfer to a university in 2017, Kang is believed to have shifted the blame to the teacher and even made murder-for-hire threats.

Kang was also arrested in 2018 on charges of habitual threats and served 1 year and 2 months in prison, but reportedly filed for a retrial during his sentence, claiming diminished mental capacity.

Meanwhile, a public petition titled "We want the identity of the public service worker who conspired to kill a girl among the members of the 'Doctor's Room' to be disclosed" gathered 417,475 supporters as of 9:30 p.m. that day.

The petitioner claimed that the public service worker was their first-year high school student and had continuously subjected them to physical and psychological threats for nine years since 2012.

They also wrote that the worker conspired with Cho Ju-bin, known as the operator of the Telegram minor sexual exploitation distribution channel 'Doctor's Room,' to kill their daughter.

However, the police reportedly stated, "Since the case has already been transferred to the prosecution, it is difficult to disclose personal information."

Kang's defense attorney reportedly stated, "This time, he is prepared to face severe punishment without claiming diminished mental capacity."
