Dr. Junhee Park, President of Inet Broadcasting
Park Junhee, head of Inet Broadcasting, stated that since March 5th, the government has been implementing a mask 5-day rotation system as a measure to stabilize mask supply. However, there have been many difficulties in proxy purchases for people with disabilities, the elderly, nursing homes, and detention centers. Considering the pandemic situation of COVID-19 spreading worldwide and the difficult economic environment, on March 30th, 5,000 dental masks (with triple-layer filters) imported from China were distributed as follows: 3,500 to the Korean Senior Citizens Association, 300 to juvenile detention centers, 200 to the Busan Legal Welfare Protection Corporation, 500 to the Anna Social Welfare Foundation, and 500 to the Anna Senior Health Center, a long-term care institution for the elderly with rest and healing. This was done in hopes that COVID-19 will be resolved quickly, participating in the second mask sharing campaign.
Park Junhee, chairman of Inet TV, purchased 2,000 masks through Auction and other platforms on March 12th and participated in the first mask sharing campaign by distributing them to 2,000 inmates at Busan Detention Center. The second mask sharing campaign selected various donation recipients to ensure that masks could be evenly distributed nationwide to senior citizens' associations, juvenile detention centers, and nursing homes that have difficulty purchasing masks through the Korean Senior Citizens Association. He expressed his hope that no one would be excluded from mask supply in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
