Gokseong-gun Implements 'National Real-Name System' to Ensure Policy Transparency

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 30th that it will accept applications for the list of key management projects under the "National Application Real-Name System" to revitalize the 2020 Policy Real-Name System from the 1st to the 29th of next month.

The National Application Real-Name System is a system that records, manages, and discloses the real names and opinions of stakeholders involved in major county policies to enhance policy transparency and accountability, and guarantees public participation so that projects desired by the public can be disclosed when Gokseong-gun selects key management projects under the Policy Real-Name System.

The eligible projects for application include large-scale projects with a total budget of 500 million won or more, research service projects of 30 million won or more, and projects that have a close impact on the lives of county residents.

Gokseong residents and citizens interested in Gokseong-gun who wish to participate in the "National Application Real-Name System" can download the form from the county website > Administrative Information > Information Disclosure > Policy Real-Name System > National Application Real-Name System Guide and apply for one case per form via the email or postal address listed on the website. However, multiple (joint name) applications are not allowed, and organizations can apply under the name of their representative.

The county plans to disclose on its website in May the projects closely related to Gokseong residents among those being promoted or to be promoted in 2020, after deliberation and resolution by the Policy Real-Name System Deliberation Committee.

However, any submitted content that falls under non-disclosure reasons according to the Information Disclosure Act, simple complaints that differ from the purpose of the Policy Real-Name System, unclear or unidentifiable application content, etc., cannot be subject to the National Application Real-Name System.

A county official stated, "We plan to operate the application period during the last month of each quarter to encourage public participation and enhance administrative credibility."
