[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon Cultural Foundation (Chairman Heo Seok) announced on the 30th that it has signed a business agreement with the Regional Culture Promotion Agency to jointly host the ‘2020 National Living Culture Festival.’
This agreement is for the successful hosting of the ‘2020 National Living Culture Festival,’ which is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and jointly organized by the Regional Culture Promotion Agency and Suncheon Cultural Foundation.
At this signing ceremony, Suncheon Cultural Foundation and the Regional Culture Promotion Agency agreed to actively promote ▲joint planning and overall operation of the 2020 National Living Culture Festival ▲program planning and operation ▲collaborative research on festival performance and social and economic effectiveness evaluation.
The signing ceremony was attended by 10 officials including Heo Seok, Chairman of Suncheon Cultural Foundation, and Kim Young-hyun, Director of the Regional Culture Promotion Agency, where discussions on the joint hosting of the ‘2020 National Living Culture Festival’ also took place.
Director Kim Young-hyun of the Promotion Agency said, “This agreement was made to contribute to the successful hosting of the National Living Culture Festival and to revitalize local living culture,” adding, “We will actively cooperate to create a space for sharing and exchange where the unique characteristics of local living culture are reflected and social values enjoyed by all are discussed.”
Heo Seok, Chairman of Suncheon Cultural Foundation, said, “I am pleased that this business agreement provides an opportunity to jointly host the National Living Culture Festival, sharing the skills and experiences of various living culture clubs nationwide,” and added, “We will actively strive for the successful hosting of the 2020 National Living Culture Festival by leveraging the various advantages of Suncheon, the ecological cultural city of Korea.”
Meanwhile, the 2020 National Living Culture Festival is scheduled to be held for three days from September 25 to 27 this year around the Suncheonman National Garden area, and it is expected to be a festival venue where about 10,000 living culture participants nationwide will share diverse living cultures from various regions across the country.
