The fire department arrived at the scene after receiving a resident's report that the phone suddenly exploded while charging, but the fire had already been extinguished.
Meanwhile, consumer reports of fires involving the iPhone 6 series have been steadily received since 2016 in China. In response, Apple dismissed the controversy, stating the cause was "ignition due to external impact."
The fire department is currently investigating the cause of the fire based on the report.
