Yeonggwang-gun Operates April Corporate Local Income Tax Filing Desk

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeon Seong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Jun-seong) announced on the 30th that it will operate a filing reception desk next month to enable corporations with business establishments in the jurisdiction as of the December closing last year to smoothly file and pay corporate local income tax within the period.

Corporate local income tax is a tax item that must be reported and paid to the local government having jurisdiction over the corporation's registered head office or main office location by May 4 for the corporate income attributable to the previous year.

If there are business establishments in two or more local governments, the report must be apportioned by each business establishment and submitted separately to all local governments where the business establishments are located, while the attached documents only need to be submitted to the local government where the head office is located.

Filing methods include electronic filing via Hometax, mail, or in-person filing. For electronic filing, a separate filing page will be operated on Hometax during the filing period, making it more convenient to file and pay.

Meanwhile, special attention should be paid as additional taxes will be applied if there is no filing or underreporting within the filing and payment deadline, or if various reports (attached documents) are not submitted.

A county official said, "Considering that filings will be concentrated on the deadline of May 4, we ask that you file and pay in advance within the period as much as possible."
