Gwangju City Revises Evaluation Criteria for Construction Technology Service Providers' Business Performance Capability

Gwangju City Revises Evaluation Criteria for Construction Technology Service Providers' Business Performance Capability Gwangju City Hall

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 30th that it will partially revise and implement the detailed evaluation criteria for the construction technology service providers' business performance capability (PQ) starting from the 1st of next month.

The revision of the detailed evaluation criteria for construction technology service providers' business performance capability (PQ) was promoted by adopting the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's standards following the revision and announcement of the Ministry's evaluation criteria at the end of last year. Gwangju plans to implement this after administrative notice and review by the Local Construction Technology Deliberation Committee for its own detailed evaluation criteria revision.

The evaluation of construction technology service providers' business performance capability is a system that comprehensively assesses participants' technical ability, management, and business status before granting bidding eligibility for construction technology services above a certain amount, and pre-examines whether the service provider can successfully perform the service.

In particular, the revised business performance evaluation criteria newly establish grounds for awarding additional points when a technician with less than 5 years of total experience working at a construction technology service company participates in the service, thereby creating a foundation for young technicians to build careers and achievements in the technical service industry. This is expected to expand job opportunities for young technicians.

Additionally, the evaluation process will be efficiently improved by verifying task duplication through the Construction Technology Service Performance Management System (CEMS), where all ordering agencies' performance records are registered.

Furthermore, the revision includes easing the deduction criteria during credit evaluation, shortening the recognition period for new technology utilization achievements, improving issues found in the current evaluation criteria when assessing similar service performance, and reflecting amendments in higher laws such as changing the term 'service provider' to 'service business operator,' along with renaming and terminology changes in the evaluation criteria.
