[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] The Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education announced on the 30th that it has produced and distributed the 'STOP COVID-19 Infection Prevention Management Guidebook,' which contains management standards for schools at all levels to prevent and manage the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) after the start of the school term.

The guidebook is based on the Ministry of Education's 'Guidelines for COVID-19 Infection Prevention Management for Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle, High, and Special Schools' and includes practical essential information such as measures to respond to situations that may occur in schools, COVID-19 related questions and answers (Q&A), department-specific instructions, and checklists.

In the department-specific instructions, guidelines are presented for a safe educational environment and smooth educational activities after the school term begins, including standard plans for remote class operation to minimize learning gaps, kindergarten curriculum and after-school program operation, student life guidance, and school meal operation.

Park Jong-hoon, Superintendent of Gyeongnam Education, said, "This guidebook will help minimize confusion at schools struggling to prepare for the new term, strengthen the capacity of staff responding to COVID-19, and establish a prompt and systematic school response system."

The STOP COVID-19 Infection Prevention Management Guidebook is uploaded on the Office of Education's COVID-19 website, making it easily accessible to anyone.
