Right after the shareholders' meeting, Koo said in his inauguration speech broadcasted within the company, "Together with KT Group employees, we will create a ‘confident and solid KT Group’," emphasizing this point. He also stressed that KT will become ▲a company not shaken by external winds, ▲a national company most needed by the people, ▲a company with rapidly growing sales and profits, and ▲a company that all employees are proud of.
Koo said, "With a history of over 130 years, KT Group has led the development of Korea's ICT industry and practiced exemplary governance and win-win cooperation, providing services needed by all Korean citizens as a national company."
He added, "KT Group has the experience and capabilities to identify turning points in ICT development and lead the trends," and "Digital innovation based on artificial intelligence (AI), big data, cloud, and 5G will be a new turning point." He also emphasized customer-driven self-innovation.
